We have two positions vacating soon, Communications Chair and Webmaster. If you have wanted to get more involved in the club, one of these may be the perfect position for you.

The Webmaster role involves keeping the website up to date with pictures, event, and news. We use Squarespace as our site platform, and, our current webmaster will be present to support you while learning what you need to do. This is also a great position if you are comfortable with the computer and can make updates to the site when needed.

Our club relies on membership dues in order to be able to hold events, communicate with members and give back to our community; more info at our dues page.

The club needs help with alumni interviews! If you would like to help interview Dartmouth applicants, please sign up at www.dartmouth.edu/~interviewers.

Interviews are brief and low pressure - mostly they are an opportunity to be a friendly point of contact for applicants, to give them an opportunity to ask you questions about your Dartmouth experience, and to give them an opportunity to present a more informal and personal dimension to their application. After completing your interview, you will write a brief report that goes to the Admissions Office. That's it! It's a fun and easy way to assist in recruiting and admissions, and you can set your own time commitment.

We'd love to help you get set up - registration is easily done by completing the above form. If you have any trouble registering or updating your profile, just reach out at faith.barter@gmail.com and we'll be happy to assist!

Please note: in order to remain on the interviewer list, you must sign up to interview every year, even if you have interviewed in previous years.

Every year the club recognizes local high school students through the Dartmouth Book Award program.

Each Dartmouth Book Award winner is an exceptional high school junior who demonstrates strong character, ranks in the top ten percent of his or her class, excels in at least one nonacademic area, has made a positive contribution to the school community, and is a candidate for entrance to a competitive college or university.

If you’d like to help contact schools or present awards, please contact Melaura Wittemyer '92 at melaurawittemyer@gmail.com.

We’re always looking to host events outside of Portland. Interested in hosting a summer alumni BBQ in Salem? Or a holiday party in Bend? We’ll help organize and promote the event. Contact us through the about page.

The Dartmouth club’s board meets regularly via zoom to help plan events and discuss club business - organizing interviewing, planning the new student send-off, … . Alumni can sit in on board meetings or contact us about joining as an at large member - a good way to get more involved in the club.

Dartmouth club members are free to organize events! Contact us with your idea - we’ll help plan and publicize your event (see our previous events for inspiration).
