Join us for a Q & A, book signing and reception with local Dartmouth author Carl Sciacchitano '09!

Carl's graphic memoir, The Heart That Fed: A Father, a Son, and the Long Shadow of War, tells the story of Carl's relationship with his father - a Vietnam veteran - and how the father's trials during the war and after, and his reckoning with PTSD, affected their relationship as father and son.

The Dartmouth Alumni Magazine just ran an interview and excerpt from the book. Carl was also interviewed on KATU, and recently had an essay published in the New York Times' Modern Love column.

We are thrilled to invite you to a Q & A session, book signing, and reception with Carl at the Bishop & Wilde Bookstore (2601 NW Thurman St. Portland, OR 97210). The event will be from 7 to 9 pm on Saturday, October 5th. We encourage you to arrive earlier to browse this unique bookstore.
